DELANYO AYEE QUAYSON – THE LEAD AND MANAGING CONSULTANT
Delanyo is an experienced HR Professional and a member of the Institute of Human Resource Management Practitioners - Ghana (IHRMP-G). He joined uniBank (Ghana) Limited in May 2006 as the Head – Human Resources and was appointed in November 2016 as the Executive Head of Human Resources of the Bank (a position he occupied until August 2018).
Prior to this, he worked as Human Resources Manager/Group Training and Development Manager for the Vlisco (Ghana) Group at Juapong and later Tema. He also worked as the Remuneration and Employee Relations Manager for British American Tobacco, Ghana. Before joining British American Tobacco, he worked as the Principal Industrial Relations Officer/Head of the Professional and Managerial Staff Unions Department at the Industrial & Commercial Workers Union, then a Union under the TUC, Ghana.
Delanyo holds an Mphil; MA in Human Resource Management; a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) Degree and a Diploma in Education, all from the University of Cape Coast (Ghana). Before this, he trained as a professional Teacher at the Peki Government Teachers Training College at Peki in the Volta Region of Ghana.
Until September 2012, he was an adjunct lecturer in Strategic Management; Human Resource Management; Job Search Strategies and Techniques; and Conflict Management at the Valley View University at Oyibi, Dodowa – Ghana. Also, until January 2016, he was an Instructor in Industrial Relations Practice at the Institute of Human Resource Management Practitioners-Ghana.
He has managed a few HR consultancy projects for some private organizations in Ghana including the Express Group of Companies and Upper Manya Kro Rural Bank.
He actively drives HR as a strategic partner of the business, a change agent, an administrative expert, and an employee champion as amplified by his work at his immediate past place of employment - uniBank (Ghana Limited). In collaboration with the Executive Team, he (from 2006-2018) developed and implemented various HR initiatives such as Talent Management and Succession Planning; Performance Management System, Competency-based training, Recognition Scheme; Performance Bonus Scheme; Performance-related Pay Scheme and E-Learning, just to mention but a few. These initiatives made the Bank an employer of choice and beehive for the best talents in the industry.
